Surprise!!!

So.. my gf tells me that her bf has organised and booked a place for us to have dinner..

so we're thinking.. thats unusual o_O

sounds weird.. and very suspicious :P

why would he be booking a dinner restaurant for me and her? and hes not coming either...

he wouldnt say much else on it for the rest of the week.

the day finally comes.. and i know this restaurant too.. they dont take bookings :P

its popular so u have to line up and wait in line...

so we wait downstairs cause it was so packed..

waited n waited.. called the bf n asked wats going on.

looks like theres meant to be someone else turning up...

we wait and wait..

so im thinking.. who could it be.. i guessed it was a mutual friend we all knew.. but im guessing that the bf probably knew this person just came back or smth and they hadnt told anyone they were back..

hehehe.. and i guessed right ;)

our gf who had gone to london for a year to work and travel came back to visit hehehe

we moved to another nicer restaurant i have been meaning to take my gf to so we went there instead hehe..

bit expensive.. but nice food and not as crowded :)

sooo happy to see our gf return ^____^

showed her around to the new toy places in the city while we were there hehe..

caught up a few times with her in my free time :)

had thai near her place up north.

met up with her on a beach near my area.. shes an outdoorsy kind of person and missed the beaches here.

the weather isnt as nice in london and their nearest beach is 2 hours away.

friend decided to have a small art exhibition at a bar in kings cross :)

9 pieces all up, but i only took pics of a few :P

went along to say hi to friends cause i dont see them very much anymore

interesting bar tho.. they served their girly drinks out of those white ceramic yumcha type teapots :D my friend was drinking it through the spout of the teapot hehe an interesting site ^____^

interesting happenings

caught up with friends i havent seen in ages recently :)

i really didnt know what they did when i first met them all those years ago =\ found out what they did for jobs :P

one had their eyes lasered recently.. so i asked some questions hehe.. im thinking about it :)

had hot pot dinner.. was a bit humid day but it had cooled down at night so wasnt too bad

headed to casino afterwards cause one of them wanted to play 'xic bo'(?) not sure what it was

turns out to be a dice game. with 3 dice and u can bet on it in numerous ways.. either big or small.. or which variations will show up.. ie. 2 out of 3 dice.. watched friend play for abit

friend won enough for us to go dessert later :D ehhe
went to guylian ^_______^ another choc cafe like max brenner and lindt.. tho i didnt know they had this one :)

tried the degustation plate which was abit of everything

4 of us sharing was enough.. quite filling =_= 2 choc cakes.. 3 pieces of choc.. white choc mousse.. choc mud.. phew.. so rich.

Superheroes vs School kids

saturday we had a friends themed birthday part hehe.. 'school uniform or superheroes'
school uniform being the easier outfit to put together :P
majority of us were dressed in school uniform ehehe.. had to dig out my old ones
3 of the guys hired costumes to be superheroes!! hehehe.. sooo funny
full masks or helmets and padded muscles hehehe.. awesome costumes :P

lots of drunks by the end of the night :P

Bridal Shower

sunday went with my gf to her friends bridal shower.. was an interesting experience to say the least :)

females only.. lots of family and friends.. mainly lebanese i think.. we were the only asians there :P

had food.. watched them play games.. of course family friendly games as there were kids there :)

ie. pass the parcel.. musical chairs..

they also had brazillian entertainment.. music.. drummers.. kapoera..

of course the brides favourite colour was hot pink and leopard print. was an interestingly decorated function room :P oh and the bridal party had on hot pink skirts n heels and feathers n wigs :)

Ip Man

missed the movie at the cinemas =_= sigh.. always end up organising to watch it just as its taken off screen..

anyhoo.. ended up watching it at friends place :D

was pretty ok movie..

Ip Man is Bruce Lee's master and this movie was based in his time which was around when japan invaded china.

he was pretty wealthy to begin with but became poor because of the war.

some cool martial arts move.. he was the strongest fighter in his town.

friend bought this new nail art thing where theres stencils and then u stamp on the designs :D

pretty interesting to play with ehhe.. this is what i experimented with ^__^

dunno if i should buy one myself.. or just borrow friends one :P hehe

made me own top!! bit boring.. might need to add zippers or smth.. but lets see how it handles the washing machine first =_=

the material was dying my fingers black when i was handling it.. so i have to wash it before i can wear it..

one side is normal stretchy black material.. is thickish.. and other side is mesh :D

i also made another cardigan with the black stretchy heavy material.. but thats in the wash too.. and didnt get a pic.. i copied this other cardi i bought cause i liked the style :D

SATSUMA

Tried out this new place above the new mandarin club

its bit expensive.. but really nice n fresher then the other jap restaurants i frequent in chinatown :)

i couldnt get much pics cause it was quite dark and my camera phone cant handle it =\

too bright with flash too.. meh..

hmm also caught up with 2 friends i havent seen since unidays.. pretty much like 7 years or so .. ive only randomly bumped into them in a cafe like once every 2-3 years or smth :P

was soooooooo good to catch up with them hehehe :D soooooo happy to see a familiar face ^________^ was fun to catch up .. took them to wagaya since they havent been :) hehe was fun

hope to see them again more

one said they didnt recognise me @_@... untill i walked straight upto them :P

but they still think i look young hehe.. meh

funny.. my other uni friends that i caught up with in HK that i havent seen since 1st year uni said i looked the same :P

i mentioned their height.. they werent that much taller then me.. maybe 1-2 inches? eheh.. to me it seems to be simlar to my height :P

they freaked out wondering if they had shrank while they aged lol.. hehe.. oops..

i think its just my frame of mind or thinking has changed over the years..

cause when i first met these friends i was still in uni mucking around with friends and studying while they had already had a job and their own cars etc.

i guess back then i thought they were ages away from me and i didnt really compare myself to them. now i am also working and older i feel they are at the same stage as me.. so i compare them to myself and im thinking theyre similar to me now hehe.. hence my badly phrased 'oh i think you guys shrank' :p

lol. hehe.. maybe i should have explained it better heheh.. its not like i grew any taller since back then either :P

had work lunch.. very yummy .. @_@ from a very nice venue down the road thats good for event organising and catering etc

we had a lunch there to intro us to the venue as well as show us what kind of food they had hehe
very nice ;)

Watchmen

Saw this movie on the weekend.. the trailer looked interesting.. but yea..

after watching it... it seems to be more based on olden day super hero then futuristic one..

lots of blood n fight scenes.. and sociopaths... nudity.. sex scene.. =_=

great effects for somethings but overall the storyline was abit weird for me..

2.5hr movie.. @_@

i found it to be so-so...
