The Hangover Part 2

Hmm.. i didnt like this movie as much.

same story line. they wake up with no memory

and 1 missing person.

so they run around piecing together what happened

and trying to find the missing person.

lots of wrong things happen .. etc.. drugs.. alcohol.. ladyboys.. 

The Zookeeper

I know this movie just came out over here for the school holidays

great family movie.

zookeeper gets dumped by girl he likes at the very start and tries to get back with her

he cares alot about his zoo animals and finds out that they can talk

they try to help him to get the girl

girl likes him.. but doesnt like the zookeeper side of him.



The Green Lantern

was an ok movie.

i like seeing how other worlds may look. great special effects etc.

typical good guys vs bad guys theme.



Thor

Not a bad movie. i thought the trailer made it look less interesting

eg " a god becomes human and not used to our world"

but yea.. i found the special effects and the fantasy of how Thors world looks was

interesting :)

and i like Natalie Portman who is also in the movie

7 wonders

New board game!! :D

another great strategy group game.

max 7 players. its alot faster and easier then Catan

there are 7 boards to play from with different resource prerequisits and points

(theyre double sided too)

and we get playing cards that get past around for 3 rounds

1 round = 1 stage eg. 3 stages

these cards have your resources, special cards and point cards

by the end the table gets pretty messy :P

oh theres also gold coins to buy resources from your neighbours

The scorecard at the end to see who wins

How to Train Your Dragon

Another super cute 3d animation kids movie :D

love the black dragon.. sooo cute hehe.

about a village of vikings that live to kill dragons. the kids train to kill dragons from when they are young.

except for the cheif vikings son who is a feable skinny kid.

his father has high expectations of him to become a dragon killer like himself.

Snow NZ 2011

hmm just noticed i havent posted in awhile :P

had a hectic 2 week snow trip recently :)

1 week in queenstown/wanaka New Zealand

followed by 

1 week in Jindabyne/Perisher

we had a party of 7 for NZ. 3 couples and 1 dude :P

First stop.. was ferg burger in queenstown.. about 10mins from airport

very yum. shopped around abit then headed to wanaka where we stayed

our snowboots lined up

heaps of snow

first day was quite windy and snowy.. i only went on the slopes

for a few hours then i stayed indoors waiting for the others

half stayed to snowboard some more

the other half and me decided to shop around queenstown

we snowboarded between Cardona and Trebel cone for about 5 days

Day 2

it was too windy n snowy

all the snowparks were closed. 

so we looked around locally to see what we could do

we all went on a boat/hiking trip to a small nearby island in wanaka lake

kinda expensive but a unique experience to say the least

lake wanaka that morning

we were driven over to the island on a boat (good 1 hour trip)

we saw and were introduced to the native NZ bird that cannot fly.

a wika or something.. dont remember.

they only exist on that particular island

and they are protected birds

other predators are hunted and taken away from the island

we hiked to the top where the nice elderly tour guide

(ex national park worker)

had some biscuits and coffee/tea packed for us

we went on this island specifically because as shown on the pic

we went to see a lake.. on an island.. on a lake .. on an island :D

the lake on the island on lake wanaka on the south island of NZ

pretty cool. great views

after one of the snowboarding days, we drove around looking for Mt Aspire

looked like we were driving through peoples farm backyards...

saw lots of sheep/cow/deer farms

saw some on the road too :P

we didnt end up finding the mountain after driving for ages

but got to stop near a river there, alot of the river had gone below the riverbed.

was very sunny so very slushy manmade snow.
