big change

sooo..

a friend from 2 months back told me about an eye surgery company that has a special price going right now.

so i looked it up and yea.. looked alright.

just so happens that one of our other friends just had their eyes done there too! like a month before.. so i asked them all the questions like procedure and what they go through and what happens..

they looked fine.. and theyre eyes were good too. no more glasses :D

so i went in for a consultation.

got my eyes checked by 2 machines as well as the normal optometrist tests where u look at a lighted chart with letters etc.

then they used this gadget that touched my eye to measure how thick it was (anthesthetic drops were used before that)

i was all good to have surgery.. soo i decided to do it :D

a couple of weeks later..

i had it done :)

i was abit.. nervous.. but not too bad..

just happened that i saw a guy that just came out after his surgery in the waiting room so i asked how he was going.. he can see.. but he said his sight was abit blurry hehe.. good to know :)

i took 2 tablets before the surgery when i arrived.. i guess to calm the nerves..
went in.. put on a hairnet cap thing.. and shoe covers

walked into surgery room..lay down on the table with the machine..

the doc put some sticky tape kind of thing on my eye and open the middle to hold my eyelids open.. then a clamp was put in to hold my eyes wide open.. eye drops etc were used

the doc explained everything that was happening.. i didnt see much but looked at the red light of the machine for the whole thing :P

heard the laser machine with the electric noises.. that took about 10 seconds.. and yea.. it was pretty quick.. there was some pressure on the eyes as they cut my cornea or smth

they put the cornea back on.. more eye drops.. then went on to the other eye.

in whole the process was ok.. no pain.. just pressure and staring at the red light =P sometimes green light hehe..

afterwards i sat in a dark room for abit..
they explained the stuff i hav to do afterwards like eyedrops etc.

then i waited in the waiting room for my sis to pick me up :)

the medicine i took before the operation made me quite sleepy.. and my eyes kept watering cause of the light. i guess i was quite light sensitive.. couldnt really open my eyes normally

so went home.. i can only fully open my eyes in the dark =P

eyes felt abit tender so i couldnt realy touch around it.. even the eyelids @_@.. owch

i showered n slept pretty much the whole arvo/night away eheh

woke up mid morning.. did some packing for my upcoming trip.. then went back to sleep =P

wow.. i never slept at 6pm before heh.. woke up at like 4 when i decided to pack my bags abit..
then went back to sleep to wake for normal work hours :)

eyes healing still :)

went back this mornign for checkup.. doc said wow it was a big diff (my eyes were quite bad back then with glasses =P)

now it takes 2 days for eye to physically heal

and then 2 months for my eyesite to settle down :)

so we'll see what happens in 2 months ^___^

at the moment its clear.. i can see well.. but its abit blurry around the edges cause of the light..
i think im still abit light sensitive :)

Girls Night

So.. im heading overseas soon for a holiday.. yay!

so had to meet up with my gfs before i leave :)

and one of my gfs have the house to herself for the next few weeks so we went to hang at her place ^_______^

watched bride wars

which is an ok chic flick..

both girls grew up with big dreams about their wedding day after seeing a relatives beautiful wedding. one is a strong minded lawyer and the other a nice to everyone kind of teacher for primary school kids.

both are best of friends for about 20 years

till they start competing with each other with their weddings .. the wedding planner accidentally put them both on the same day.. they start to sabotage each others wedding..

mean while.. we had pizza for dinner.. i brought this yum japanese cheese cake.. another gf brought along some dimsims.. and another made some sweet pear with sugar cane sweetener asian kind of dessert :)

was a good night ^___^

we raided our gfs books and dvds while we were there :P heheh

So ive finally finished putting together the "Red Baron".. like a year later :P hehe
i had nothing better to do while hanging at friends place :)

and i finished watching the "House" series :P

hanging around at friends place.. it was cold.. and we didnt go out.. so we had our own DIY high tea heheh ;)

pretty nice :P fruit... fancy biscuits.. and some cheese n crackers :)

hehe some work decorations for st george day :)

wooo.. some poor van got driven into a tree downstairs =P view from my office hehe ;)

they had to tow him out.. and they cut off the branch.

next day they cut the whole tree down @_@.. all gone now.. we have a better view of the park being built hehe :P

easter long weekend

caught up with a friend for dinner near their place..

quite a nice place i think, bit pricey tho.

aussie cuisine, like steak, seafood etc.. the prices are similar as popular steak places in the city but the environment of this place was very casual and bright.

went to the lamb skewer place in chinatown.. yum lamb skewers :D
we got to saw some of their traditional dances that night too :)

their costume looked like belly dancer styles with the jingly stuff and flowy material but it sort of reminded me of thai dances too :)

not sure wat kind of asian cuisine that place is.. most of their stuff is chilli

2 of our friends were acting quite close during dinner

we found out afterwards that they were going out together when we saw them holding hands outside the restaurant =_=

one of the guys got worked up cause hes good friends with the bf and he didnt like being the last to know about this =\ we sort of all found out at the same time... *shrug*

watched movies at friends place afterwards

unborn - horror movie

now i hate horror =_= this ones storyline was so so.. we saw a few flaws in it.. the story wasnt very realistic

and of course.. the main character likes to go check out the creepy noises instead of running away from it =_=

we were thinking.. if the bad spirit finally got her as he was chasing her through the whole thing.. then what??

zack and miri make a porno - so so movie

friends said it was funni so we watched it.. lots of nudity and sex scenes..

mainly bout how these 2 high school friends who live together find out they had feelings for each other at the end..

they made a porno to make money.. since they both became broke and lost electricity, water and heating in their apartment

saturday - HANGING WITH FRIENDS

yumcha with friends local to us.. since we didnt go city it was a smaller restaurant but the food seem better and faster service :)

raided dymocks book store 3 for 2 deal hehe.. i bought another 'tuesdays with morrie' for a friend and my other gf bought like 4 books lol

afterwards i went to visit my other friends place
hung around n watched 'house' season 8 at their place.. man its addictive.. really good stories hehe

i find house's character funny.. in a jerky kind of way =P

his team will be talking about the dieing patient and he'd be trying to get more goss out of his teams individual private lives :P

ended up staying late just to watch it :)

sunday - FAMILY DINNER

at home.. then had dinner with family and friend.. who let my parents know about investment property stuff.. my mum was understanding.. my dad was against it =P

monday - THE ENTRANCE

went over to friends place early in the morning.. raining all day

went to 'the entrance' up the coast for a day trip

they have alot of pelicans around there.. theres a feeding time at 3.30 where u can see them up close :)

giant chess set!! awesome :D

had fish n chips.. looked at the markets they had.. bought hemetite rings :D

watched friends fish for abit.. then we went to sit at a cafe

went to hunt a monitor upgrade to replace my old one hehe
