dragon boats end of season partayyyyy XD

dinner at a chinese restaurant.. we thought they would give us our own seperate room.. but they didnt.. so yea.. hehe expect our group to cause a ruckus in the whole restaurant ;) hehe

some of the guys and a few girls showed up with afros lol.. i dont remember seeing that memo :P

one dude had huge sunnies in his afro.. another one had a red bandana and a hairpick in his XD lol
we had a purple afro too.. complete with purple striped shirt lol

food went quick.. i was on a table where 3 of the guys pretty much hogged most of the food lol.. they had like 2 desserts each too hehe.. big eaters :P

lots were sporting their sports bling.. mainly their medals or trophies ^_______^

there were awards and there were the funny awards hehe

pretty much all the guys got awards from the girls team where they all got a title.. and a tiara or facecream hehehe :P

funny awards were a gold hand made framed bit of cardboard like biggest fight in the group.. silliest thing that happed during the season - 2 guys locked their own car keys in each others cars hahaha.. hilarious ^_______^

we had an italian who sang up a storm in the restaurant.. in italian of course.. i bet we provided heaps of entertainment to the other patrons also eating there lol.

afterwards we headed to 'chinese laundry' and clubbed.. hehe interesting to see the guys clubbing since ive only ever seen them in training hehe ^__^

was a fun night.

my gf that has left me for UK requested a whale so i made her one before she left.. turned out pretty good =D




a relaxing day on the grass by the water.. in the shade.. under a tree.. lying around.. with food.. heheh

State Championships 2008

Dragonboat State Competition 2008 at SIRC

it was a very early start to the day.. and boy do i mean early =\ i was up before the sun was T_T

anyhoo.. located also far far away is this man made river.. water thing.. where the races were held.





everyone had chipped in money and one of the team members' mum had made us a heap of food.. cakes.. biscuits.. fruit salad.. yoghurt.. bread.. chicken.. rice.. pasta..
wow.. super mum hehe.. enough for our team plus abit leftover =)

above pictured was also one of the teammates kids.. so cuuuuuuuuuuute XD




i was spectating that day so i was chatting to some of the team.. helping with videoing the races etc..

i was made to join in on one of the races since they didnt have enough people.. was a good experience.. =D i was nervous =P but was fun ^_____^

i didnt bring any gear with me so i had to borrow shorts, shirts and a paddle.. lucky i had my own tights to wear :P

we got rained on near the end of the day =\ moved all the bags n stuff up a few seats so they dont get wet.

headed to dinner afterwards with a few team members.. at like 5pm lol

i think everyone was quite buggered cause of the early start n long day. i was getting sleepy already =P

was daylight savings time too.. hehe

was an interesting experience none the less =) i wasnt too bored.. didnt really get out my ipod or DS ^_____^

Moni n Gavs Wedding

Congratumalations to my friends ^__________^

very different to the first wedding i went to a month back.. this was more formal n bigger.. very organised :) all the cards were hand made by the bride too @_@

they had very sweet wedding vows.. they have been high school sweethearts and her first love till now.

everything seemed more formal and organised as they had tv screens at the restaurants so they had a camera on the front table where the bride groom bridesmaids n bestmen sat.

all the placecards.. invitations.. menus.. ceremony book were hand made with the same embossed paper that i know was designed and personally hand made by the bride herself.

she looked great in her white beaded dress.. was a really nice sunny day for it too =)

dinner was fun.. they played a game where they stood back to back holding 1 of each shoe (1 brides shoe and 1 grooms shoe) they each were to lift the corresponding shoe to answer the question asked.. then there was some cambodian dancing and a realllly long assed rhumba line lol

really happy for those 2 and wish them all the best. they had some really nice wedding pics too which they showed in a slideshow at the restaurant as well as another slideshow of their after wedding pics.
