Kingdom of the crystal skull

hmm.. mixed feelings on this one =\ was adventure n some silly moments n that..

but some of the story felt like it was from 'the mummy' movies n effects.. weird ass storyline too..

Trivia Night

one of our suppliers invited us to their trivia night :D

was free.. with a meal.. so why not ;)

a group of us girls went along as a team.. we didnt have enough people for our own table so we had to share with some people from another company..

was quite massive.. like around 600 people @_@
this was held at the hilton hotel in the city.. nice new place that was open n renovated recently :P

had a really good time :D lots of music to bop to and activities as well as a yum dinner .

1st Round - finish the lyrics to the song
we listened to 20 songs and had to write down the next few words (mc told us how many words there were for each song)

bonus points - silly dance comp
groups of tables were split up to dance to different songs. most outlandish table gets points. has like.. twist n shout.. grease lightning.. etc

2nd Round - Tv Classics: past & present
20 clips of really old as well as current tv show were shown - intro songs + clips were played. we had to write down the name of the tv show

bonus points - true or false
everyone had to stand up and put their hands on their head for true or hand on their butt for false as answer to the questions asked. of course.. last one standing got the prize ;)

3rd Round - Quatas Questions
we were shown 3 quantas clips and told about quantas new flights etc.. then we were asked 20 questions about quantas.. was quite hard =\

bonus points - paper aeroplane comp
this was fun hehe.. 1 paper plane per table was chosen and the one that flew the furthest won extra points for table.

4th round - Music Video Artists
this turned out to be harder then we thought.. heaps of really old songs alot of us didnt know or didnt remember the artist.. :(

bonus points - karaoke
3 volunteers were chosen to sing specific songs.. they also got to dress up for it lol and provided lyrics.. most cheered on person won :D

Round 5 - General Knowledge & Sports
20 questions were asked about gen knowledge n sports. .like how many nrl teams.. who did the socceroos play against last.. who won the soccer that morning.. wats the capital of some country.. etc etc..

bonus points - limbo comp
eheh funny stuff.. the pole started quite low already.. and u cant touch the floor with knees or hands.. or put ur head sideways to go thru..

Round 6 - movies
clips of 20 movies were played where we had to guess them.
quite fun..

scoring was tallied after each round
was great fun..

dinner was yum with entree.. main and dessert.. and coffee/tea after :)

oh there was also a charity raffle where most bought tickets..

one of my colleagues was too busy chatting to the other girls to see what company they were and wasnt paying attention so i was keeping an eye on her tickets for her..

and she won the main prize!!!! ^__________^ hehe.. congrats to her..
im her lucky star =P she was bit tipsy too hehehe..

great comedy.. romance.. fate n timing... hehe very voilent girl and poor guy are brought together by chance .. and go thru many interesting times.. must see!!

it reminds me of another korean movie i saw a few years back...

il mare.. also featuring the main actor from 'my sassy girl'

interesting concept of time and universes... also about love beyond time.. fate..

it was redone by westerners with 'lake house'.. i havent seen that one as yet but i prefer the korean version :)

also ... best mtv clip with a storyline.. youtube "kiss - because im a girl" hehhe

very touching storyline...

it has started

soo.. saved up.. researched abit.. well got recommendation for a specialist..

im getting braces =\

2 years of pain.. and paying for it.. just to look pretty :P hehe

so ive started already.. interesting process how they put braces on.. my specialist is very nice n talks alot.. explains everything.. really gentle.

feels weird having metal in my mouth now =\ so annoying to eat.. metal scratches the inside of my mouth.. food getting stuck on braces.. eating/chewing really slowly... sore/sensitive teeth =\

lots of brushing too to keep it clean.. lots of soft foods..

and its only the 3rd day today :(

2 more years to go.. *Sighh....

some hero movies

Sort of like scary movie where they make parodies to popular films n make fun of them.

Was an ok movie with its funny parts and its 'oh so wrong but funny' moments too. Based on Spiderman movie with abit of batman and a few other movies thrown in.

Good for a light hearted no thinking movie :)

loved the tech used in the movie.. hawt car too *droolll* audi r8..

wish i had the holiday house n the gadgets the main character has :P oh .. and the cars too hehe..

"MTV Theme"

dragon boats end of season partayyyyy XD

dinner at a chinese restaurant.. we thought they would give us our own seperate room.. but they didnt.. so yea.. hehe expect our group to cause a ruckus in the whole restaurant ;) hehe

some of the guys and a few girls showed up with afros lol.. i dont remember seeing that memo :P

one dude had huge sunnies in his afro.. another one had a red bandana and a hairpick in his XD lol
we had a purple afro too.. complete with purple striped shirt lol

food went quick.. i was on a table where 3 of the guys pretty much hogged most of the food lol.. they had like 2 desserts each too hehe.. big eaters :P

lots were sporting their sports bling.. mainly their medals or trophies ^_______^

there were awards and there were the funny awards hehe

pretty much all the guys got awards from the girls team where they all got a title.. and a tiara or facecream hehehe :P

funny awards were a gold hand made framed bit of cardboard like biggest fight in the group.. silliest thing that happed during the season - 2 guys locked their own car keys in each others cars hahaha.. hilarious ^_______^

we had an italian who sang up a storm in the restaurant.. in italian of course.. i bet we provided heaps of entertainment to the other patrons also eating there lol.

afterwards we headed to 'chinese laundry' and clubbed.. hehe interesting to see the guys clubbing since ive only ever seen them in training hehe ^__^

was a fun night.
