in the week before christmas.. my fiance found a stray cat had taken up shelter under his front steps
his house is on a hill so there are a long flight of stairs upto the main door
theres junk kept under the stairs too.
anyhoo.. he found this cat had settled under the staircase near the middle.. and it had kittens!!! :D
the poor mother cat is quite thin.. though shes friendly. we've been feeding the cat now making sure she has food and water nearby so she can nurse the kittens.
5 out of the 6 kittens died though :(
we think the mother was hungry when she had the babies and wasnt able to produce enough milk to feed the babies :(
else the cat looks pretty young.. and this is her first litter and she may not have known how to take care of the kittens.
the remaining kitty is nice n fluffy though heheh.. we check on them both a few times a day..
mother cat is very friendly..she rubs and walks around our legs when we refill her food bowl :)
the little kitten is a very dark colour with black tiger stripes :D so cute!
its got white paws and a white belly hehe.. currently its eyes arent open yet.
the mother cat comes out to eat then goes straight back in to feed her baby
ive seen the kitty crawl around abit while mum is eating
and the mum licks n nudges the baby afterwards and the baby tips over off balance
and meows.. lol
cant wait till its 2 months old so we can play with it hehe.. its only been 1 week so far =\

its hard to see but the mother cat usually is curled around the baby hehe
